First, I apologize for the radio silence over the past few months. Development has been moving full steam ahead behind the scenes, and while I cannot share the details just yet, this update hints at some very big things on the horizon.
Here is what is on deck as we head toward the end of the year:
- Targeted Playtesting: The core engine is running smoothly, but I want to pressure-test the pregame setup sequence. It was designed to keep encounters fresh and curb hyper-competitive list-building, but I need your candid feedback: is the setup fun to work through, or does it feel too fiddly?
- Hobby & Terrain: Check out the attached photo for some 10mm terrain builds showcasing the new “Inspiring” terrain rules introduced in the beta.
- Expanding the Lore: Rattle and Rend will always remain a miniatures-agnostic sandbox, and your modeling freedom remains the top priority. However, many of you asked for more background on the Vast Boral. I am working on deepening the setting’s grim history without boxing in your creative options for warbands.

Cross-posted to Instagram, of course.
Expect a major announcement before the year wraps up. Grab the beta files, get some skirmishes on the table, and let me know how your games go!
