The biggest lesson I've learned I've learned as a tabletop GM the past year or two has been SUSTAINABILITY.

Painted minis, fancy terrain, even fancy color paper minis haven't been sustainable for me.

I took a pretty lo-fi (but still kinda fiddly) approach for running Hexingtide, but I'm looking at making it even more abstract and simple for the upcoming sci-fi game I'll be running.

I've scaled these silhouettes to 54mm scale (where the common DND & Warhammer scale is around 38-32mm). So the details hinted at in these silhouettes should be easier to identify.

It's a big step back in complexity from my previous paper minis, but a little more time-intensive than the flat portraits I make for Hexingtide.

But, I was curious about running paper minis again. We'll see how this plays out.

Plus, this sci-fi project has fairly specific character design details. Easier to hint at that in silhouettes rather than spend time on fiddly details.

(Note: the silhouettes are not for commercial or public uses. I'm grabbing and compositing from all over to generate these.)

It didn't exactly work out. The plastic is the consistency of thick, un-viscous rubber.

Back to the drawing board!
